Wolfe, Albert Benedict, 1876-1967
Variant namesAlbert Benedict Wolfe, born in Arlington, Illinois, educated at Harvard, was on the faulty of Oberlin College 1907-1914, at the University of Texas, 1914-1923, then at Ohio State University from 1923-1946. He continued to live in Columbus after his retirement. Attacked for his liberal thinking while in Texas, Wolfe wrote a book on radicalism, Conservatism, radicalism, and scientific method; an essay on social attitudes (1923). His writings on population include The population problem since the World War: a survey of literature and research (1929).
