Upton, LaRoy Sunderland, 1869-1927
Variant namesLaRoy Sunderland Upton (b. Oct. 8, 1869, Decatur, Michigan-d. March 1, 1927), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1891 and was assigned duties in Cuba, the Philippines, and the Panama Canal. He served in France from 1917 to 1919, and received many awards, American and from European Allies.
