Kidson, Edward, 1882-1939
Variant namesEdward Kidson was born in Bilston Staffordshire in 1882. His family moved to New Zealand when he was a child and he was educated at Nelson College before attending university at Canterbury College. In 1927 he was appointed Director of the New Zealand Meteorological Service a position he held till his death in 1939 .
