History of "Bud Bunch" trivia promotion: In 1984, the Sporting News created trivia questions for an Anheuser-Busch radio promotion. In 1985, the National Baseball Hall of Fame took over the creation of approximately 3500 questions. The Hall of Fame continued to back the promotion until 1988.
