Kalmyk Resettlement Committee.
The Kalmyk Resettlement Committee was an American group attempting resettlement of Kalmyks, ethnic Mongolians living in Russia since the 17th century, some of whom had migrated to southeastern Europe in the aftermath of the Russian revolution, and others who, during World War II fled westward with the retreating German army. Organizations working with the committee were the National Council of the Church of Christ, the International refugee Organization in Geneva and the Unitarian Service Committee.
