Wigner, Christopher, 1712-1745.
In 1733, Wigner moved to Ebersdorf where Count Nikolaus Ludwig Zinzendorf granted asylum to the Moravians on his estate called Herrnhut. In September of 1734, Wigner arrived in Philadelphia via the ship the St. Andrew with a group of other Moravians, settling close to Bethlehem, PA. As an important member of the Moravian community, he remained in close contact with Count Zinzendorf until his own death in 1745 at the age of 33.
