Robert N. Bush was Professor of Education at Stanford University from 1945 until his retirement in 1976, when he was appointed Professor Emeritus. He cofounded the Stanford Center for Research and Development in Teaching and served as its director from 1965 to 1976. He was instrumental in the development of two educational innovations: microteaching and the flexible schedule.
