First physician in Niagara Falls, N.Y. to specialize exclusively in anesthesiology. Chief of the departments of anesthesiology at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital and Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Served on surgical teams in the European Theatre during World War II. His father, Charles M. Dake, Sr., was in the baking business from 1883 to 1913 at Niagara Baking Co. (later operated by United States Baking Co. and National Biscuit Co.) and the Faxon, Williams & Faxon Bakery.
