Plath, John G., 1871-1959,
Born at Dodge, Wis., son of John Henry and Helena Plath (1828-1901). Family moved to homestead near Davenport, N.D. in 1878. John H. built a shack in Casselton to provide living quarters for his children attending school. Farmed in Davenport, N.D. area. Wed Josephine Bucklin in 1894. Served five terms in N.D. Legislature, 1921-1929, 1931-1933. Retired to Fargo in 1941; Josephine died 1944.
