Born in Watertown, N.Y., 4 June 1828; graduated from Williams College in 1849. Came to Buffalo after graduation and entered the office of Dr. Frank H. Hamilton, where he studied under Gen. Albert J. Myer. Studied medicine at the University of Buffalo and the University of Pennsylvania. Served as physician to the Buffalo Orphan Asylum in 1855, and as surgeon to Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo, from 1855-1873. He died on 9 July 1898.
