Delano, Franklin H.
Franklin H. Delano and his wife, Laura Astor Delano, had two homes in the 1880s: one at 190 Madison Avenue, New York City, and the other in Tarrytown, along the Hudson River. This inventory was probably compiled for the Hudson River estate during the 1880s; it was definitely done after 1881 (a carpet was ordered in that year, during the couple's trip to Europe). Franklin's niece, Sara Delano, married James Roosevelt, and they named their son, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, after her Uncle Franklin.
