Heintges, John A. (John Arnold), 1912-
Variant namesJohn A. Heintges was born in 1912 in Germany. He was a United States (U.S.) Army officer and a battalion and regimental commander in World War II (WWII). He served in Laos from 1959-1961 and the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam from 1965-1967. He was also a commanding general of the 5th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado and commander-in-chief of the 7th Army.
