King of Glory Lutheran Church (Boise, Idaho)

Hide Profile

Stanley H. Holman arrived in Boise in July of 1962 to establish a mission church. The first service was held in the gymnasium of a local elementary school on November 11, 1962 with 17 present. A Sunday School was soon started, and the congregation was formally organized on April 3, 1963 with 37 charter members. Membership increased rapidly and plans were made for construction of a church. First services in the new church were held in March of 1966. Traffic congestion and an inadequate building prompted the building of the present facility, where first services were held on June 11, 1978.
