Blackford, Albert J., 1843-1915.
Blackford, a native of Ohio, married Mary Ellen (Nellie) Taylor in Illinois on May 5, 1862. Enlisting as a private in Company F, 107th Illinois Infantry in August 1862, he had advanced to Captain by September 1864. He served as an aide de camp to several generals in William T. Sherman's army and was mustered out June 21, 1865. He was a printer, merchant, and salesman after the war.
