Mary Jones was married to Alabama evangelist Bob Jones. He was born in Dale Co., attended Southern University (1901-1904), and received his license to preach in 1902 from the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Jones conducted revivals throughout the U.S. and the world, published numerous books, pamphlets, and newspaper articles; and had weekly radio broadcasts. He also founded Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C.

Mary and Bob Jones had a son Bob, Jr., who also was involved with the evangelical movement.
