Edwards, William, 1888-1975
Variant namesPenn State professor of lumbering, William Edwards, was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, in 1888; received a bachelor degree from Geneva College and a master's degree in forestry from Penn State and the University of California. He came to Penn State in 1914, became a professor of lumbering in 1924, and retired in June of 1948 to serve as a consultant forester to several lumber companies. He died in 1975.
