Donald Gerald Hagman was born Mar. 26, 1932; BS, Marquette Univ., 1954; graduated Univ. of Wisconsin Law School, 1959 and Harvard Law School, 1963; associate of Remley, Sensenbrenner and Stein, Neenah, WI, 1959-62; acting associate professor of law, 1963-66, associate professor of law, 1967-68, and professor of law, 1968-82, UCLA; assistant director, Institute of Government and Public Affairs; taught courses in the School of Public Health; scholar of land use, urban planning, and housing law; wrote numerous articles and books, including Exploring some new fiscal interrelations (1968) and Is local government constitutional? (1972); he died in 1982.
