Born Kazuyo Konman in Seattle, Wash.; Konman family relocated to Los Angeles, Calif., some time before 1930; in 1942 the U.S. government removed the family from the West Coast to Rohwer Relocation Center near McGehee, Ark.; the Konmans' lived there for two and a half years; 1945, Konman authorized to leave Rohwer Relocation Center and moved to Chicago, Ill.; Konman wored for various employers in the Chicago area and married Kenjiro Henry Matsukawa in 1949.
