Edward Buckland Moseley (b. Oct. 1, 1846, Philadelphia, Pa.-d. Aug. 3, 1923), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army, graduated from medical school in 1868 and began his military career as a sergeant in the Pennsylvania Militia Artillery in 1862, participating in the Antietam campaign. He also served in campaigns against the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Ute Indians and in the Philippines. He began as an assistant surgeon and moved up to assistant surgeon general. He retired in 1907 due to a physical disability incurred in the line of duty.
