Snelling, E
E Snelling was a contemporary of the Antarctic explorer Apsley Cherry-Garrard (assistant zoologist, British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-1913). During the First World War (1914-1918) Snelling was part of the British Expeditionary Force (BEF). The BEF was formed after the Boer War (1899-1901) in 1915 Sir Douglas Haig was put in command. Snelling served as a private.
