Thompson, Amos, 1807-1901.

Came from Maine with his parents, and the Caleb Barker family, in 1816 and settled near Kaskaskia. His parents died in 1819 and the children lived with the Barkers. Amos served in the Illinois legislature, 1842-1846 and 1866-1868.
