McDougall (dates unknown) was a Detroit merchant and a cousin of Francois Navarre. He served as sheriff, Justice of the Peace in Wayne County (Mich.), Colonel of the Michigan militia, and other offices. Other letters by McDougall to Navarre are found in the Navarre Papers and a letter from McDougall to Judge Woodward is in the Charles J. Walker Papers in the Clarke Historical Library.
