St. Andrew Lutheran Church (Beaverton, Or.)

Hide Profile

After a year of intensive calling by pastor/developer Donald Clinton, St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Beaverton, Oregon was organized on March 23, 1953. The congregation worshipped in a house-chapel until it moved to its present site on Butner Road. In 1961 the first church was dedicated. Office space was added in 1966 and classrooms in 1970. New offices, additional classrooms and a fireside room were added in 1978. Ground was broken for a new worship unit in 1986. St. Andrew has progressed from a small church in a small but growing suburb to a church on the edge of largeness serving a burgeoning community. The growth of high technology in the area has made the membership mobile, with people moving in and out. The opportunities for further growth and expansion are great.
