Methodist Episcopal Church, South. North Georgia Annual Conference.

Hide Profile

The North Georgia Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South was established in 1866 through a division of the Georgia Conference. Annually the Conference would meet to discuss personnel, finances, and the work of the various committees. In 1939, with the merger of the Methodist Episcopal Church, the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, and the Methodist Protestant Church into the Methodist Church (United States), the North Georgia Conference technically ceased to exist and became instead a subordinate organization of the new national body.
