Montgomery, James W.

James Montgomery graduated from Stanford University in 1931. He taught in junior and senior high schools for several years before entering the Pacific School of religion in Berkeley, CA. He graduated in 1949 and came to Spokane in 1954. Montgomery served at various Congregational churches in the Spokane area until his retirement in 1978.

Rev. Montgomery was interested in history and wrote two books: Liberated Woman: A Life of May Arkwright Hutton (1974), and The Men of the Crescent (1975).
