Elizabeth Watt (d. 1944) was born in Mitchell, Ontario. She was the daughter of James and Jane Black Watt and sister to James Cullen and Robert Watt. She moved to Johnson County, Wyoming in 1890 to live with her uncle Cullen Watt and his family before her family moved to Valley Center, Kansas. She married Richard Richter in 1893 and they had one daughter, Louise, who was born in 1900. Richter had been a civilian employee at Fort McKinney during the late 1870s and later operated a sawmill and a ranch in Johnson County, Wyoming. Richter died in 1915 and Louise operated the ranch until 1956.
