Variant namesBorn in Maine. At the age of 18, came to Dearborn County, Ind., taught school, and preached. Edited the NEW CASTLE BANNER 1835-1837. Returned to Dearborn County and served as judge. Returned to Maine in his later years. Cotton was a prolific writer of both prose and verse.
