The Church of Christ Called Liberty, apparently Primitive or Hardshell Baptist, was founded in 1822 in Fayette County, Ind. It moved into Liberty Meeting House on Williams Creek in 1824, and was probably located in the southwest corner of Harrison Township. Members included Adam Banks, James Smith, Joseph Hawkins, Thomas Moffett, and Stephen Philpott.
