Variant namesDetroit surveyor, Sheriff, and Justice of the Court of Common Pleas. He had two wifes, Elizabeth McDonnell, and Catherine (1753-1838). They had children, Robert, unmarried, 1784-1844, Margaret, who married Porter Hanks, 1786-1869, Catherine, who married Thomas Rowland, 1788-1851, and Eleanor, who married Jonathan Eastman.
