Davidson (McGill, M.D. 1939) taught at Harvard Medical School from 1945 and became William B. Castle Professor of Medicine in 1973. He was associate director of Thorndike Memorial Laboratories from 1963 to 1973 and was associated with the Clinical Research Center at M.I.T. His research was in nutrition, metabolism, and liver diseases.
