Health Sciences Communications, a division of University Communications, was formed in 1989 when the Public Affairs Office of the School of Medicine and the Public Information Office of the UCSD Medical Center merged. The office of Health Sciences Communications is responsible for disseminating newsworthy information such as achievements, programs, and projects involving the UCSD Medical Center and the UCSD School of Medicine.
