James Wilson Moore, the "father of Presbyterianism in Arkansas," worked for 45 years to establish and expand the Presbyterian church in Arkansas.
The first Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. minister to reside in the Territory of Arkansas, Moore organized what is now First Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, in 1828.
