Aguirre family.

Hide Profile

The pioneer Aguirre family operated an extensive freighting business, established stage lines and developed large cattle ranches in Mexico, New Mexico and Arizona. This collection mostly pertains to Epifanio and Higinio Aguirre and Epifanio's son, Yjinio F. Aguirre. Epifanio and Higinio were partners in farming and ranching enterprises until 1922 when Epifanio moved to Sonora where he developed the Aravaipa and El Datil ranches. Higinio continued to ranch in the Red Rock area along with Yjinio F. Aguirre.
