First services were held here on April 22, 1956, and by September 9 of that year, worship and Sunday School were held in the new church (which was subsequently dedicated on May 19, 1957). In 1959, groundbreaking services were held for the educational unit and on November 22 the unit was dedicated.
A new sanctuary was added in March of 1970 to meet the needs of the growing congregation.
The Billings area was experiencing great growth in the 1950s and 1960s which continues on to this day. The Home Mission congregation established by the ALC grew with it.
