Class of 1881, M.S. Cornell University in 1891, Professor Wing was editor of The Nebraska Farmer prior to serving at Cornell University from 1888-1928. He first served as deputy director and secretary of the Experiment Station as well as Professor of Animal Husbandry. In 1934, through the efforts of a group of his former students, he was recognized for his extensive work with Guernsey and Holstein breeds by the naming of the New York State Fair coliseum after him. He was a member of the New York State Grange, president of the New York State Dairymen's Association, and a life member of the New York State Agricultural Society and assisted in the formation of the Cooperative Grange League Federation Exchange. He died in 1936.
