Born in Gill, Mass.; in 1798 moved with his parents to Sherburne, N.Y. First physician in Jamestown, N.Y.; first judge of Chautauqua County. Member of the New York State Legislature, 1820, 1826-1827. Moved to New Haven, Conn. in 1845.
