Ethel Walker made her debut as a soprano in 1911, having been taught for a number of years by Nellie Melba. Her career included work in the United States of America and Canada, and on occasions involved background singing for films. She was the Librarian for J. C. Williamson for over 20 years, and retired from that position in 1971.
