The Boston publishing firm Lee & Shepard was established in 1861 by William Lee (1826-1906) and Charles Augustus Billings Shepard (1829-1889). The firm published much well known general literature but was especially noted for its juvenile literature and school books. For information on the firm and on Charles A. B.
