Virginia C. Martinson, (1921-2007) describes her home front experience in World War WII. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1943 with degrees in sociology and English. In 1950 she married World War II Navy veteran, Ralph J. Martinson, and the couple had two children. For sixty years she participated in a round robin with the "Lathrop Lizards," and remained vitally interested in the World War II era. Since 1970, she resided in Madison, Wisconsin.
