Hoy, James Smith, 1847-1925.
Pioneer settler in Brown's Park region of Colorado. B. Hoy's Gap, Pa. 1847. Freighter across the Great Plains and into the Rockies 1860s. In 1872 settled on a ranch in Brown's Park (formerly called Brown's Hole), an area along the Green River in Colorado and Utah. Moved to Denver 1919, where he died 1925.
