Anna Kimball Young was born on October 26, 1891 in North Berwick, Maine to Augustus Young, a merchant, and Elsie Perkins Young. She attended Robinson Seminary at Exeter, Maine and then went to Mount Holyoke College between 1912-1916, receiving a B.A in economics. She taught at East Jaffrey High School in New Haven, Connecticut from 1916-1917 and was a teacher and the principal of the same institution from 1917-1918. From 1918-1919 she taught at Quincy (Massachusetts) High School and from 1919-1920 she worked as a substitute teacher and an adviser for students at the same institution. On June 28, 1920 she married James William Moulton, an executive at General Electric Corporation and they had two children. She died at the age of seventy-three in Topsham, Maine on September 28, 1965.
