Arisi, Desiderio, 1649-1725.
Desiderio Arisi, a monk of the S. Girolamo congregation, was descended from an old, notorious family documented since the 15th century in Cremona. Like his more famous brother Francesco, he dedicated his monachal life to study. He wrote a compilation of the most important paintings in the churches and public places in Cremona, and another of public inscriptions in that city.
