Lilly, Robert A.
Robert A. Lilly was dispatched to Fort Gibbon, Alaska, in the fall of 1920 as an Army instructor. Having reached Seattle too late in the season to reach Fort Gibbon by ship and riverboat, he instead traveled by ship as far as Valdez or Cordova, Alaska, and then overland. He returned to San Francisco in July 1921.
