Reuben Woodworth Patrick was a resident of Clinton, La., where he was deputy clerk of court. He married Emeline Draughton, and they had at least three children: Robert Draughton, Philander Patrick, and Mary. Robert D. Patrick fought in the Civil War as a private in the Louisiana Volunteers under Gen. John Hunt Morgan. Mary married James E. Nash, and they had at least one child, Jay. They lived at Nash Plantation, near Clinton. Reuben Patrick died in 1855 while on a business trip to St. Louis.
