Jemison, Robert S. (Robert Seaborn), 1824-1868.

Robert Jemison III and his wife, Margaret (Mims) Jemison, moved from Georgia to Alabama around 1821. They first settled in Perry County and later, in 1833, in Talladega County. Their son, Robert Seaborn Jemison, married Amanda Kennon Dowsing in 1845 and moved to Texas in 1857. He was unable to serve in the Civil War due to poor health. After his death in 1868, his widow and children returned to Alabama.
