Moxon Chappel

Moxon Chappel is a printers' club whose purpose it is to share mutual interest and enjoyment in printing and the graphic arts as a hobby, and to encourage co-operative efforts in the production of non-commercial projects in the graphic arts.

Moxon Chappel is a printers' club formed by private-press printers living in the Stanford University area on the peninsula south of San Francisco, whose purpose it is to share mutual interest and enjoyment in printing and the graphic arts as a hobby, and to encourage co-operative efforts in the production of non-commercial projects in the graphic arts. The first meeting was held in Spring 1957 and was attended by Virginia and Robert Maines, Carroll Mahoney, Lewis Osborne, George Pfeiffer, and Elizabeth and Ben Lieberman. Membership has since been extended to San Francisco and the East and North Bay printers.
