Pathologist and educator.
Robert Allan Moore (b. 1901) received his medical degree from Ohio State University (1928) and his Ph. D in pathology from Western Reserve (1930). He joined the faculty and administration of Washington University School of Medicine in 1939, serving as: Edward Mallinckrodt professor (1939-1954), acting dean (1946-1947) and dean (1947-1954). Prior to his tenure at Washington University, he was on the faculty at Western Reserve and Cornell, and after Washington University, he held faculty and administrative posts at Pittsburgh and the State University. N.Y. Downstate Medical Center. Up to 1944, his research was on the number of glomeruli in the normal and pathological kidney and the morphology of the prostate gland. Later, Robert A.
