George Stone (1811 or 12-1864) was a circus performer, a "comedian possessing rare dramatic talent." He was the brother of Henry Dickinson Stone ( - ), noted printer, author and theater patron from Albany, N.Y. The Stones were contemporaries and compatriots of Edwin Forrest (1806-1872) and other actors of the birth period of American theater. George Stone began his career as an acrobat in the North Pearl Street Circus of Albany.
