Sherburne, Thomas L. (Thomas Lilley), 1905-
Variant namesThomas Lilley Sherburne, Jr. (b. July 27, 1905, Manila, Philippines), U.S. Army officer, graduated from West Point and attended the Infantry School and the Army Artillery School in the early 1930s. During World War II, he served as commander, 101st Artillery Division in France. In 1953 and 1954 he was assigned as commander, I Corps Artillery, and chief of staff, 8th Army, in Korea. Beginning in 1956, General Sherburne served as commanding general, 101st Airborne Division.
