Roger E. Kammerer, Jr., (b. 1956) is a freelance artist and local historian of Greenville, N.C. Originally from Nebraska, he spent most of his early life in Swansboro, N.C. He is a charter member of the Pitt County Family Researchers, Inc., and has served as president and editor of its quarterly journal; has served on the board of the Village of Yesteryear; is a lifetime member of the Pitt County Historical Society; and has authored or co-authored numerous books and booklets on local history and genealogy.
